There is something about summer that makes even the shortest of get-aways all the more worthwhile. Maybe it is the long days and the mild evenings, coupled with the warm weather and the intoxicating happiness of children who are out of school for the summer break. Whatever it is, summer is the season most heavily associated with relaxation and vacation, but as everyone begins to learn as they plan their summer trips, not all vacations are created equally.
The warm weather and long days can grow hot and tiring if you are stuck in an overcrowded theme park or on a busy beach without any amenities. If you are going to travel over the summer, even if it is just for a short weekend getaway, the secret to success is to find luxury.
Luckily, luxury is never too far away—especially not if you live anywhere along the East Coast. The Carolina’s have several luxurious beach resorts and top of the line getaway destinations that are an easy day’s drive from Florida to New England. Even for those who live farther away, the Carolina’s deliver a quiet and relaxing spot that is well worth the trip.

If you are looking for luxury this summer, the Carolina’s are the ideal destination. For a weekend of golfing on pristine courses, coupled with immaculate ocean-views and a resort that caters to every need, Kiawah Island is perhaps the idyllic spot.

Unlike so many resorts that tear down natural beauty in preference of developed amenities, the Kaiwah Island resort accentuates everything that is naturally beautiful about the Carolina’s, providing perfect views of the sunrise and drawing you outdoors to appreciate the Southern traditions and hospitality that make South Carolina so irresistible.

The Carolina’s are a unique destination in that there are attractions that can appeal to us all. The beach may be the most sought-after summer vacation spot, but for some the beach is too crowded. For some, luxury means really escaping the hustle and bustle and finding peace and relaxation in solitude. Luxury cabin rentals in North Carolina provide opportunity for just that. Instead of basking in the sun,

Instead of basking in the sun, appreciate the shade of the trees and the serenity of the mountainside.

In the mountains of Asheville you can spend the day basking in the cool mountain air while enjoying a peaceful hike along local trails, and then relax and rejuvenate in a hot tub with immaculate views. And by nature of it being Asheville, if you decide your long days alone in the mountains have been enough to rejuvenate your spirit, you can take a quick trip into the downtown area where you’ll find a selection of gourmet restaurants and bars, along with plenty of local culture and entertainment.

For luxury summer vacation, there is no better place to be than the Carolina’s. From the sandy shores of South Carolina to the mountain peaks of North Carolina, there is something for everyone here.

Do you remember when you were younger, and you would walk by a toy store and be in awe at all of the new stuff in the windows? You knew you needed everything without knowing how you would be able to pay for it?

That is how I feel, at 20 years old, when I scroll through the new arrivals on Bergdorf Goodman's website. Getting excited over high fashion that my student loans will not even let me think about purchasing.

I feel like a little kid in a candy store when I look at all of the new collections that Bergdorf's has to offer. As a fashion student, I love to look at the latest fashion trends on my own time which is why you can always find me checking out the new arrivals at Bergdorf Goodman. Below you will find some must-haves from Bergdorf's Goodman's current Fall collections.

1. Classic Gucci booties

temp-post-image

I have been obsessed with these booties since last Spring. While not a new addition to Fall, these classic Gucci booties will continue to be seen everywhere. They can be worn with a girly dress as seen here or with a leather jacket for an added edge.

2. Asymmetric Apparel

temp-post-image

A big trend I noticed for the Fall has been the incorporation of asymmetry in dresses, coats and skirts. I loved the asymmetry in the hem of this Diane Von Furstenberg dress. It looks super comfortable, light and fun. Especially if you live in Texas, like I do, where fall is usually more like summer, temperature wise.

3. Low-High blouses

temp-post-image

This might be one of my favorite pieces. I found it intriguing that it was lower in the front than in the back unlike the traditional high-low silhouette. Balenciaga's version of this trend is elegant and fun with its polka dot design.

4. Los Angeles meets business casual

temp-post-image

This fringe blazer immediately caught my eye, it made me think of my best friend who's style represents a unique Los Angeles style. This blazer by Cinq A Sept is different from anything I have seen before and is a great addition to Fall 2018! Complete your look with these fun pants by Diane von Furstenberg.

5. Stripes for life

temp-post-image

I'm loving this vertically striped button-down by Alice + Olivia because you get the professionalism of a button-down with an accentuating tie around the waist.

6. Over the Shoulder LBD

temp-post-image

This popular over-the-shoulder silhouette from the summer is following us into the Fall with this sophisticated Little Black Dress. Dress it up even more with this classic pair of Louboutin's.

7. Mesh mock

temp-post-image

Chloe is known for their exquisite embroidery, and I was not disappointed with this tulle-embroidered mesh mock-neck top. It can be paired beautifully with slacks or dark jeans for a more casual look.

8. Cropped jumpsuits

temp-post-image

This print, length and silhouette are perfect for Fall. I probably stared at this for a good 15 minutes. I am obsessed with shoes, and the fact that this jumpsuit would be able to show them off made me fall in love.

9. Belt Bags

temp-post-image

I am not a huge fan of fanny packs because there have not been many efforts put into their exterior, but Gucci went out of their way with this chic bag with a gold strap that I would be willing to wear every day.

10. Givenchy's LBD

temp-post-image

You can "slip" into this LBD for a lightweight, yet classy, dress. Keep it simple with black pumps as to not distract from the lace detailing.

11. Feather cocktail dress

temp-post-image

This cocktail dress by Pamella Roland gives some nostalgic 1920s vibes with its ombre feather detailing. I would love to twirl around in this!

12. Camel is the new black

temp-post-image

This camel color will be seen everywhere this coming Fall, and it looks great on these suede Manolo's, all wrapped up in a cute bow. Wear these with skinny blue jeans and a cardigan for a casual look this Fall!

13. Bodysuits for life

temp-post-image

I didn't get into the bodysuit trend until this summer, so I am glad I will have more time to enjoy it into the fall! I loved this one shoulder version. Pair it with this beautiful statement necklace by Oscar de la Renta.

14. Belting it
